It’s a great day to celebrate new books entering the world! Below are some new books out today and week. These are some I am excited to check out or they sound interesting. Death of the Author by Nnedi Okorafor
The Africanfuturist has continued to build the world we first encountered in Who Fears Death, this novel is the first of a new trilogy She Who Knows. The novel mixes the culture of West Africa, science fiction and fantasy. Her writing is always vibrant and tense, so I can’t wait to pick this up.

A Calamity of Noble Houses by Amira Ghenim
This novel was originally released in 2020 and now appears translated today! Set in Tunisa in 1935, an accusation of infidelity sends our network of characters reeling reflecting a changing nation. A review was published in the NYT if you would like to check it out. This novel is perfect for lovers of North African history and family sagas.
