hey hey hey bookish people!

Today is day 1 of bout of books 24.  we are encouraged to just read! (and post a few things as well!) if you can, pop over to Instagram and using the hashtag #BoB24igphoto with what you are currently reading (and don’t forget to tag @boutofbooks).  Also, post to your blog or insta or twitter with a six word introduction of yourself and use the hashtag #insixwords. I’ve provided a link to the first day of the readathon below and it’s not too late to sign up, so pop over and do the thing so we can do this readathon together!

Currently, I am in the midst of reading three books:

Slouching towards Bethlehem – Joan Didion, Alice isn’t Dead – Joseph Fink and Bird Box – Josh Malerman.

All of them are keeping my interest and makes it super easy to read every day. Sometimes a book itself can lessen your interest in reading, so if you aren’t feeling  a book, don’t be afraid to DNF (did not finish) (even temporarily). Sometimes, it helps to switch formats or genres, so pick up something else up. Or take a break. Go listen to a podcast or get a snack! Sometimes you aren’t in the mood to read anything and that is ok.
